Welcome to my blog, a place to share my illustrative process and love of interior decor, creativity and nature.
I am a self taught digital illustrator from Dublin Ireland. I live in a small dormer bungalow at the foothills of the Dublin mountains with my hubby and two chihuahua(ish) fur-babies. I have always been creative enjoying all sorts of crafts including sewing, embroidery, crochet, screen printing, drawing and painting. Although I never studied art formerly I have enjoyed learning from some great online platforms like Make Art that Sells , Make it in Design and Skillshare as well as classes from amazing creatives like Lisa Congdon and Holly Becker. I've also enjoyed some amazing face to face courses over the years. My first introduction to digital illustration was a course with the amazing Melissa Doran of Go Radiate. You may be familiar with Melissas gorgeous illustrations in the book 'Naturama". I am so thankful to Melissa not just for the course but for her encouragement, she really made anything seem possible. Melissa has since qualified in animation, take a peek at the trailer of her first animated short here. Other courses that stand out for me include learning to screen print onto fabric with Print Block and an amazing illustration workshop with one of my illustration heroines Lieke Van Der Voorst in Seville.

I can't talk about courses without mentioning that I'm also a proud member of the The Biscuit Factory run by powerhouse & creative business coach Tara Prendergast. Tara has created an amazing supportive network of creatives alongside a host of reality based courses designed for creative entrepreneurs. Although I'm still a long way off making my little business a success I know that I would have zero chance of doing it without Tara and the other members.
I would like to use this blog as a journal/scrapbook of experiences and interests where I can communicate more than is possible on Instagram and Facebook. I'm really looking forward to see how it develops. I promise to 'keep it real', there's enough polished perfection portrayed out there, so expect plenty of wrinkles and grammar mistakes!
